As an end-of-life consultant, I offer bedside and end-of-life vigil services, as well as MAID support and death education to clients and their families.
These services can provide a sense of peace and comfort for those nearing the end of their life. I can assist both the dying individual and their family in navigating the reality of impending loss with compassion, respect, and unwavering support. I know that facing the end of life, whether for yourself or a loved one, is an overwhelming, deeply emotional experience. It's hard to know where to turn for support or how to make the most of these precious moments.
Key elements of bedside vigils and caregiver respite that I provide:

Offering
compassionate presence at the bedside of the dying person during their final hours or days.
Ensuring
the individual is not alone and offering emotional, compassionate support during this sacred time.
Attending
to their needs with sensitivity and care, creating a peaceful and supportive environment in their final moments.

Key elements of MAID support and death education that I will help facilitate:

Understanding the Process.
I provide clear, unbiased information about MAID, helping families understand the legal, medical, and ethical aspects, so they can make well-informed, confident decisions.
Emotional & Practical Support.
I create a compassionate space for families to express their emotions, process their feelings, and address any concerns, guiding them through the emotional challenges that come with such a significant decision.
Facilitating Communication.
I assist in fostering open, honest dialogue between the individual, their loved ones, and healthcare providers, ensuring that everyone involved is aligned and that the person's wishes are fully communicated and respected.
End-of-Life Planning.
I support families in integrating MAID into a comprehensive end-of-life plan, addressing key elements like advance care directives, palliative care, and memorial options to ensure a seamless experience.
Grief Support & Aftercare.
Following the process, I offer ongoing emotional support and connect families with grief counseling and other resources to help them cope with their loss and begin the healing journey.

Services & Associated Fees
First Steps:
The first step is to get to know one another. I offer new clients a complimentary 30-minute phone consultation. This is an opportunity for you to ask questions, express concerns and wishes, and for me to understand your unique situation and needs. We can discuss and determine how I can best support you. I will follow up after our initial conversation within a few days.
Fees:
Fees are determined based on the customized approach tailored to each client's unique needs. End-of-life support is highly personal. It is your journey with me at your side. I will collaborate with you to determine the most suitable plan, whether it's on an hourly basis or as a part of a session package. Additionally, I offer a sliding scale for clients facing financial limitations.
Payments & Cancellations:
Fees are due at the start of our services, and can be paid via e-transfer or cash before we begin working together. Clients will receive receipts for all services provided.
I kindly request 48 hours notice for cancellations. If less than 48 hours notice is given, clients will be charged the full fee, except in emergencies.

I welcome individuals and families of all ages and backgrounds who are seeking compassionate, personalized support in navigating end-of-life decisions, care planning, legacy work, and emotional transitions. My services are available to all, regardless of age, background, beliefs, or circumstances.
